The SRS-1 is designed as a complete system to be used in concert with an approved
helmet. All helmets with attachment points for the SRS-1 have to meet Snell
or SFI certification with the points manufactured into the helmet. They must
also meet a test to help ensure the mounting points integrity in the event of
a crash. This is a problem with other add-on type devices.
The G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System consists of a safety
cable that attaches to the racer's restraint strap and helmet, greatly improving
safety from serious and even fatal neck injuries. This cable attachment allows
the driver and co-driver greater mobility, allowing them to turn their head
from side to side during grueling race conditions such as off-road racing. Under
hard braking, the G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System holds maintains
your head's position to lessen driver and co-driver fatigue. The cable is attached
to the restraint strap.
The G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System is adjustable to the
specific length of each driver and co-driver and can be different for each race
vehicle the driver makes use of. The G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint
System Kit comes with a 12-inch reaction rod and Velcro strap that is used to
measure and determine the proper restraint strap length required. Please read
the instructions with the G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System
and determine which parts are needed for your specific application. Return the
enclosed form that comes with your G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint

SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System parts will be sent to you to complete your G-FORCE
Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System.

TESTED IN STOCK CAR TYPE SEATING
The G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System reaction rod is attached
to the other end of the restraint strap and is encased in a fire retardant material
that helps center the rod maintain position beneath the seatbelts and behind
the driver’s head. Based on how the seat belts are configured and what
type of driver or co-driver seat, the reaction rod is available in one-inch
increments, 9 to 13 inches.
The G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint System has been sled tested
at Delphi, Wayne State University and other labs. Many experts today agree that
over 4000 Newtons of force pulling on the neck can cause serious injury or even
death. The test results from Wayne State University used a stock car type seating
arrangement with no side supports for the head. The test was a 50G pulse at
the drivers seat. This may not sound like much, but it is like hitting a concrete
wall and stopping with a 50G impact. This is a tremendous abmout of force on
one of the most vital parts of your body!
NOTES: Requires G-FORCE Racing Gear SRS-1 Helmet Restraint
System is designed for the G-FORCE Racing Gear Force and Pro Force line of helmets only. No other helmets from any helmet manufacturer are supported. Not SFI certified.
