The Honda CR250R was the chosen mount of Jeremy McGrath upon his return from retirement, and there's no wonder. The legend is a tough mount to deny when chasing down championships. The two-stroke Honda CR250R is a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder legend, boasting a 66.4mm x 72mm bore and stroke and 8.5:1 compression ratio. The lightweight 38mm flat-slide Mikuni TMX carburetor provides both initial throttle crispness and instant throttle response to complement the engine's power character. Add to that, the CR250 carb features a throttle position sensor (TPS), which works to precisely calibrate timing with the exhaust valve for improved power delivery. To handle the additional heat from the increased power, the 250R features a 28mm radiator core for optimum cooling capacity. The airbox includes the addition of a foam filter separates it from the air boot for improved sealing and air flow management. The crankcase reed induction includes a carbon-fiber, six-petal reed valve, which contributes to excellent off-idle throttle response and top-end, over-rev power delivery. The CR250R features a 47mm inverted Showa cartridge fork with 16-position rebound and 16-position compression damping adjustability with 12.4 inches of travel. The rear suspension features a Pro-Link Showa single shock with spring preload and 17-position rebound damping adjustability. Compression damping adjustment is separated into low-speed (13 positions) and high-speed (3.5 turns) and boasts 12.6 inches of suspension travel. The front and rear brakes include massive 240mm rotors with a twin-piston caliper up front. The stock front tire size is 80/100-21 and rear 110/90-19. Dry weight on the Honda CR250R is a slim 213 pounds with ground clearance of 13.3 inches and seat height of 37.1 inches.
